The touchpad display screens are hardened chemically, and it is directly bonded to the display board, which is how it is able to provide protection from the vibrations, drops, and other conditions it is exposed to, and at the same time, the matte screen improves the visibility of the display in sunlight and rain. 

The internal frame of the touchpad device is made of magnesium, which is durable, and lightweight acts as a strong skeleton to safeguard the inner parts and the circuit boards from the impacts of the drops and shocks it is being exposed to.
